Vince Zameplla, formerly of Infinity Ward, speaks out on First Person Shooters.

Quick recap, for those who don’t know or remember, Vince Zampella and Jason West were the heads of the game developer “Infinity Ward.” Infinity Ward was the creator of the Call of Duty series. Two years ago they had a huge disagreement with their publisher Activison. Basically, they quit and took a huge chunk of the Infinity Ward staff. They then created their own development team called “Respawn.” Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 comes out in less than a month under the remaining people in Infinity Ward, alongside Sledgehammer and Raven Software. Respawn is currently working on their own game, which there are VERY few details of.

G4TV.com’s Feedback is an awesome podcast (has both audio and video versions) that talks about video games each week. This week they featured Respawn Co-Founder Vince Zampella. He speaks out on the past and the future of First Person Shooters.

I’ve become disappointed lately with certain video game website journalists who barely have been trying with their journalism. They may post stuff from other websites, or they post their own opinions on things. Sure it’s fine to post your own opinions on games, but we as viewers look forward to new, interesting, and exclusive information. G4′s tv channel went to shit LONG ago, but their website has had tons of awesome stuff. Anyways, check out the video at the link below!
